Miaka is being pulled through the bushes by mysterious hands and Tama goes after her. As he goes off, Nuriko turns around and sees something coming towards him and the men.... Miaka bites one of the hands that is holding her and turns around to see a fox-eyed, blue-haired man. (to me he looks nothing like a fox, but that is just the description Miaka uses) He informs her that she, Suzaku No Miko, is the target of assassins and then dissappears into his kasa! (a kasa is one of those cool pointed hats) Totally awed by what just happened, she picks up the kasa just as Tama finds her. She thinks about what he meant by "targeted". Nuriko screams. Tama and Miaka go back to where everyone was and sees everyone is dead, except Nuriko who managed to dodge all the arrows. Nuriko explains that just as Tama left, arrows were aimed at where Miaka was standing. Miaka feels really bad innocient people died cause of her, so Tama comforts her. The gang shacks up at a house in the village, and Miaka is being a pig as usual. Miaka tells everyone that the "fox-eyed" man that saved her told her Kutou has targeted her, but Tama assures her he will protect her. Miaka gets all dreamy-eyed when he says that. Suddenly, a man bursts into the room and says there are strangers trying to get in the village. Excited at the throught of more money, Tamahome skips off. Turned off by his love of money, Nuriko says that Miaka has to fix his personality before they move on. Another man come into the room and defends Tama and says he's a nice guy. Nuriko says that a "nice" guy would charge them for protection. Miaka wonder why Tama loves money so much. Next morning, Miaka sees Tama going off on a horse. She wakes up Nuriko, and they follow him. After seeing Tama talk to a man who is welcoming him back home, they realize that this is Tama's village!! He arrives at his house and is happily greeted by his four younger siblings: Chuei, Shunkei, Yuiren,and Gyokuran. They are the cutest!!!! Miaka watches all this from afar. Tamahome greets his father, who is sick, and shows him how much money he has earned. His father says that Tama should think about his own happiness and not just his family's. Miaka and Nuriko are listening outside the window. Tama assures his dad not to worry about it and says he has to leave, but his sibs don't wanna let him go, especially Yuiren, the youngest. Miaka and Nuriko realize that all the times he wanted money was for his family and are extemely touched by what a great guy he is. Suddenly,Yuiren come down with a fever and Miaka storms in to help......to Tama's great surprise. Miaka nurses Yuiren, but Tama demands to know what she is doing there in the first place. Gyokuran asks if she is his wife and Miaka and Tama go berserk and assure her that they aren't like that at all. Nuriko adds a comment by saying that they've had sex and Tama scolds him for joking like that. Miaka leaves to get more water and Tama thanks her for everything......their eyes meet. *sigh* what a tender moment. As Miaka runs to a stream, we hear a man up in the trees saying "hmmm...the Miko is out alone." (uh oh....) As she scoops water into a bucket, she take out the scroll Hotohori gave to her which contains clues as to who the other 4 seishi are. She reads that the next one is a monk with a mask. Suddenly, an assassin attacks her. She manages to dodge him and Tama shows up and kicks his butt. Then another appears. He has Miaka cornered, when 2 hands appear from the kasa that she has on and uses a magic attack to kill him. The assassin dodges the attack and escapes. From the hat, the fox-eyed man pops out and says that he is a wanderer. As the three of them walk back to the village, the man advises Miaka that she should make her choices responsible ones.....or there will be victims because of her. From Tama's house, his sibs and Nuriko are screaming for Tama, and he runs to save them. Miaka follows. They find Tama's family and Nuriko tied up by the assassin that attacked Miaka before. Tama gets captured as well. The assassin tells Miaka to let him kill her, or everyone will die. The fox man appears on front of Miaka and uses his magic to set everyone free. The assassin throws blades at Miaka, but while obstructing them with his "special stick" that he carries around, a blade shreds a part of his pants at the knee revealing a character!!! He is the fourth seishi!!! The assassin tries to get away, but Nuriko stops him and tries to force some info out of him. Arrows fly through the window, but Nuriko uses the assassin as a human shield. Before he dies, the assassin mumbles something about a Seiryuu No Miko, but dies before Miaka can find out what he means. Later, at the house, the fox man, who says that he is NOT a fox, introduces himself as Chichiri. The fourth one is found and only 3 more to go!!! Miaka feels guilty about the family being attacked, but Tamahome tells her not to. Chichiri tells the gang that Kutou knows that Konan has their Suzaku No Miko, so Kutou is now looking for their Seiryuu No Miko. Taiisukun gave "The Universe of Four Gods" to all 4 countries, so if Seiryuu No Miko gets the power of Seiryuu, she can also wish for anything she wants. It then occurs to Miaka that Yui could have been found in Kutou and be forced to be the Seiryuu No Miko. This will make her and Yui enemies. She leaves for Kutou, by herself so as not to endanger anyone else.
